How Therapy can help

Feeling anxious or stuck in unhelpful patterns or experiencing a low mood is often connected to experiences that have affected your sense of self, relationships, or wellbeing.

Therapy can help you to:

✔ understand what may be shaping your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours
✔ develop coping strategies that work in everyday life
✔ feel calmer, more confident, and more able to manage challenges
✔ strengthen relationships, boundaries, and communication
✔ build resilience and self-awareness through periods of change

Elena, founder of Chalice Psychotherapy, is an Integrative  Psychotherapist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in private practice since 2008, a registered member of the BACP, and a fully qualified CBT therapist.

What to expect

We begin with an assessment session to understand what’s been happening, what’s feeling most difficult, and what you would like help with. From there, I’ll recommend the most appropriate next step and we’ll agree a plan together. Some people choose brief, focused support, while others prefer longer-term therapy. We’ll review progress regularly so the work stays supportive and purposeful. You don’t have to have the “right words” to begin. We’ll start where you are, at a pace that feels manageable.

“I felt that things had changed in the first session; having someone understand me made the difference to my mental health.”
